Regular Conversion & Negative Conversion

Regular Conversion

A Regular Conversion is any conversion in which the conversion was successful and the value of that conversion is positive, i.e. – a purchase is made, an email address is given, a subscription is signed up for, etc.

Regular Conversion Names and their associated values are user-defined and established in the “Conversion Settings” dashboard. Ptengine only tracks data based on these settings.

The Regular Conversion page is divided into three data sets:

  1. Conversion Chart
  2. Conversion Tags
  3. Conversion List

Conversion Chart

The Conversion Trend Chart displays the number of conversions, the conversion rate, and the conversion value. For explanation of any of these terms, please visit the Definitions page.

 Conversion Tags

The Conversion Tags table shows the tags assigned to each conversion as set in the Conversion Settings.  Tags are displayed in a “tag cloud,” with the font size of each tag is relevant to the total number of conversions attributed to that tag.

Note 1: Hover over each tag to see the total number of conversions attributed to that tag.

Note 2: Click on a tag to view the data related only to that particular tag.

Conversion List

The Conversion List shows a list of all conversions that took place, as well as the conversion rate, the total revenue or assigned value of that conversion, and the number of total visits that resulted in that conversion.

Search:  Search for a particular conversion by name or keyword.

Quick filter: To drill down further into the data for a particular conversion, click on the Filter icon at the end of the row.

Funnel Button: To see the path of activity that led up to each successful conversion,  click on the “conversion funnel” button at the end of the conversion’s row.

Negative Conversion

A Negative Conversion is any conversion in which the conversion has a net negative value, i.e. – an unsubscribe, an abandoned cart, etc.

Negative Conversion Names and their associated values are user-defined and established in the “Conversion Settings” dashboard. Ptengine only tracks data based on these settings.
