It depends on what you want to analyze.
If you only need to measure the number of CV and you don’t need to filter by CV name, you can simply put the tracking code to its goal page. However if you intended to measure funnel page, you need to install the tracking code on the funnel page as well.
“Filter by CV name” is when you want to segment the user who reached the goal page with CV setting, see numerical data, or view the heatmap. If the tracking code is not installed on the page through which the user is passing, there is a possibility that the session expires and the filter is not in effect.

As mentioned above, if there is a web page that does not contain a tracking code in the middle, there is a possibility that “filter by CV name” will not work properly.
