URL Combination

You can set URL rules either to include or to exclude “www”, “#”, “index.html”, “/” part in your URLs.

The default setting of each is as follows,

  • Combine URLs with or without “www” · · · · OFF
  • Combine URLs with or without anchor“#” · · · · ON
  • Combine URLs by ignoring the filename · · · OFF
  • Combine URLs by ignoring the “/” at the end · · · · ON

We will discuss what happen when you change the [Combine URLs by ignoring the “/” at the end] from OFF to ON in the case below.

When the [Combine URLs by ignoring the “/” at the end] setting is ON,

https://www.example.com/faq/ ・・・(A)

https://www.example.com/faq ・・・(B)

the PV count of (A) and (B) will be stored under the URL https://www.example.com/faq

However, there are possibilities that some data will be lost or changed by making the change above.
