Tips of rearrange function

When editing pages using the editor, Ptengine provides various tools to help you realize your ideas. During the page editing process, if you want to adjust the order of content on the page, such as moving content from the first screen to the product introduction section, you can use our rearrangement function. The rearrangement function supports the movement of not only static elements but also some dynamic elements. This article will introduce potential issues that may arise when using the rearrangement function and their solutions.

Why Do Content Styles Change After Reordering?

When using the rearrange function, the content style may change after reordering, typically due to changes in style rules.

Page styles are usually defined based on the context of the element’s position on the page. When you move an element from one position to another, the style rules that originally applied to the element may no longer apply, or the new position may have different style rules, leading to style confusion or changes. To avoid this issue, it is recommended to choose a target position within the same style rule range when moving elements.

For example, if we move some content from the second screen to the "Reasons to Choose" section, style confusion may occur because the style controlling "Reasons to Choose" does not apply to the moved content.

Alternatively, we recommend moving the entire second screen before the "Reasons to Choose" section. Since the control rules for each remain unchanged, the style will not be affected.

Why Do Dynamic Elements Stop Interacting After Reordering?

When you move dynamic elements to other positions on the page, they may stop interacting. This issue occurs because some dynamic elements on the page may rely on their relative position to other elements, and when this position relationship is broken, the interactive function may stop working. If you move the dynamic elements along with all related content, ensuring that their internal relative position remains intact, the dynamic elements' interactive function will work normally. Therefore, when moving dynamic elements, it is recommended to move all related content together to avoid interaction problems.

For example, if you move the dynamic display part of partners to below the second screen, the dynamic elements may stop interacting due to changes in their relative position to other elements.

However, if you move both the dynamic elements and the partner description text together to the second screen, the dynamic elements will continue to function properly as their internal relative position remains intact.

In summary, we introduced two common issues with the reorder function. The solutions can be summarized into two points:

1. Prioritize moving elements to positions within the same style rule range to reduce the risk of style confusion.
2. When moving dynamic elements, ensure all related content is moved together to maintain their internal relative position, thus ensuring the interactive function continues to work properly.
