Filtering conditions in user group

The user groups setting allows you to group a bunch of users with characteristics and trends that match your business. This article explains what each user behavior, visit attribute data, and user attributes in the filter represents.

Segment conditions can be divided into three types.

Part 1: User behavior

  • 1Web Page: The users who access the specified page will be the target of the corresponding group.
  • 2Event:The user who fires the specified event will be the target of the corresponding group.
  • 3Visit:Users who access any of the pages where the script for the project is placed will be eligible for the group.

Part 2: Attributes of the visit

  • 1Type of visit: Group by whether the user is a new visitor or a returning visitor.
  • 2Entry page:
Users who start their visit using the specified page as the entry page will be included in this group.
  • 3Referrer URL: Users who entered from the specified referring page will be targeted by the corresponding group.

  • 4Referrer Host:Referer Host is simply the domain part of Referrer URL.
For example, in the URL x.ptengine.jp/plan , x.ptengine.jp is the host.
  • 5UTM Campaign: Specify the utm_campaign information given in the URL.
Users from the specified campaign will be eligible for the corresponding group. So are UTM Source, Medium, Content, Term.
  • 6Device Type: Users who access the site with the specified device will be eligible for the corresponding group.
Three types of devices can be set: PC, mobile, and tablet.

  • 14State/City: Users accessing the site from the specified prefecture will be included in the corresponding group. (Area information is obtained from IP addresses.)

No.3: User attributes
By setting user identification tags, you can obtain unique user attribute data. This data can be used to infer user needs, preferences, habits, etc., and can then be used to implement appropriate personalization for the user to improve user experience and maximize effectiveness.

If you are using the user identification tag to obtain your own user attribute data, the following attributes will be included by default. Users with the specified user label will be eligible for the corresponding group.

total session initial referring domain
distinct user ID initial referrer
first seen last active
country(last country) os(last os)
city(last city) region(last region)
