Click Heatmap

Click Heatmap shows that the more times an element and its coordinates on the site overlap, the more areas are shown in red. It directly reflects the user's needs and the user's motivation to take the next action.

In other words, the red areas in the click heatmap indicate that visitors are interested and want to learn more about the content.

Checkpoint #

・Whether the area of the click is red as expected

・Are there buttons or elements at the bottom of the page that are being clicked on a lot, but are not easily visible?

・Do you need to place a clickable link at a non-linked image or text that is attracting clicks?

Screen Description #

  • 1is a heatmap color adjustment tool that adjusts the upper limit (red) of a heatmap. By adjusting the threshold value of the red color, you can adjust heatmaps that have biased data and are difficult to analyze (e.g. the whole page is bright red, the whole page is transparent, etc.). Initially, the knob is in the center, and moving the knob to the left decreases the upper limit and increases the amount of red and yellow, while moving it to the right increases the upper limit and decreases the amount of red and yellow overall.
  • 2Now you can choose to show the「 Scroll Reachability Line」and the「Hidden Elements」.
  • - Hidden element: An element hidden on the page. For example, elements in the mouseover menu, slide diagram elements, or elements that are not shown or hidden in the current HTML because the HTML structure has changed due to a page update.

  • 3is the heatmap reload button. This reload will prompt you if the loading of page elements is slowing down.
  • 4is the Overlay button.
  • 5is the basic number (clicks, visits, PV) of the current page.
  • 6is the button to view the detailed data of the current page. The following window will open after you click on it; you can also export the data in CSV format.
  • 7is the Scroll Reachability Line which displays the percentage of users who actually browsed to that position.
